Dear Child of the King,
What a joy it is for me to announce our upcoming Servant's Heart mission program. Lord willing, I'll soon be heading to Israel with a dynamic and dedicated team of Zion's Hope staff and volunteers to bless the people of Israel through a variety of 9 ministry outreach projects. We'll partner with our Jerusalem-based team to embark on the most comprehensive Servant's Heart program we've ever undertaken!
Since our ministry's founding more than 35 years ago, Zion's Hope has continually provided financial and logistical support to our full-time overseas ministry team in the Holy Land. Many years later, in 2010, we sensed the Lord leading us to launch a new, short-term volunteer missions program.
The "Servant's Heart" program was born out of our love and concern for the spiritual and physical needs of the people of Israel. We felt a genuine urgency to step out in faith beyond what was comfortable - and to encourage other believers to stand courageously for Christ on the front lines of ministry alongside us and our faithful missionaries.
Initially, we offered the program as a three-day extension to our "Journey to Jerusalem" tours. Many of our tour travelers who desired to serve in this capacity opted to stay in Israel for the brief, but rewarding, ministry opportunity. Since that time, however, the Servant's Heart program has grown, and we now host volunteer opportunities up to two weeks in duration, at various times each year.
During the past 15 years, Christian volunteers of all ages - people just like you - have paid their own way for the opportunity to serve in this dynamic program. They've blessed the people of Israel in countless ways! Our teams have provided food for the poor, delivered clothing to the young, provided care and comfort to the elderly, placed Bibles in the hands of searching souls, and brought much-needed encouragement and support to partner ministries in Israel who are faithfully sowing the seed of the Gospel on a daily basis.
With the announcement of each Servant's Heart program, thousands of faithful Zion's Fire subscribers - friends like you - have prayed for our volunteer teams and given sacrificially to make each ministry project a wonderful success for the glory of God. What a tremendous encouragement and blessing you have been to us and to the Jewish people through the years!
Servant's Heart 2025 Challenge
Today, I humbly ask, once again, for your fervent prayers and generous support. This upcoming Servant's Heart program will be the most comprehensive we've ever hosted. Our team will minister to soldiers near the border with Lebanon through a local church in the north of Israel. We'll bring hope and help to young women at a crisis pregnancy center in the extreme south of Israel on the Red Sea near the border with Egypt and Jordan. We'll minister along the Mediterranean coast near Israel's border with Gaza. And we'll provide food for the poor and care for the young and elderly in Jerusalem.
Many people in Israel are struggling financially, emotionally, and spiritually due to the unresolved hostage crisis, the ongoing conflict in Gaza, and the residual effects from the recent wars with Hamas, Hezbollah, and Iran.
The geopolitical situation in the Middle East is uncertain, and the region is being reshaped in ways few could have imagined only a few years ago. Surrounded by terror threats and hostile nations seeking their destruction, the Jewish people are deeply concerned and weary of war.
I'm reminded of Psalm 2, in which King David provides a Last Days description of wicked nations conspiring in a rebellion against almighty God. In response to their feeble threat, the psalmist says: "He that sitteth in the heavens shall laugh [mocking them]: the Lord shall have them in derision [with scorn]" (vs. 4).
In righteous anger, the Lord decrees: "Yet have I set my king upon my holy hill of Zion" (vs. 6). Despite all the evil schemes of men to thwart His plan, the Father will enthrone His Son in Jerusalem as the Lion of the tribe of Judah and rightful heir to the throne of Israel. When Jesus Christ returns as King of kings, He will deliver the remnant of Israel, judge the wicked, and rule the world in righteousness.
The Psalmist concludes with this important admonition: "Kiss the Son, lest he be angry, and ye perish from the way, when his wrath is kindled but a little. Blessed are all they that put their trust in him" (vs. 12).
When the psalmist says "Kiss the Son," he is imploring his readers to embrace Jesus Christ as Savior and give Him the honor He is due. It is this glorious imperative we have been called to proclaim to the sons and daughters of Israel. This is the only message that can provide salvation from their sin, peace for their souls, and hope for their future.
Will you help us touch lives for eternity?
During these difficult days, when the hearts of Jewish people in Israel are focused on serious issues and spiritual matters, our Servant's Heart team has an unprecedented opportunity to reach them with the glorious message of hope and new life through Yeshua HaMashiach (Jesus the Messiah).
Through the 9 Servant's Heart ministry projects listed below, we hope to bless the people of Israel through the proclamation of truth, our demonstration of love, and the expression of generosity on behalf of concerned Christians in America.
In this regard, I ask that you consider partnering with us. Please take a few minutes to pray and think about what God would have you do to support these worthy endeavors. Each dollar given will be used in its entirety for the project(s) you designate toward the total goal of $130,000. If the goal is exceeded, the additional funds will be used by the ministry of Zion's Hope where needed most.
These are momentous days! Now more than ever, we need your help to proclaim the message of "Peace, Hope, and New Life in Christ" to the lost sheep of Israel.
In His service and for His glory,
