Israel's Feasts and Their Prophetic Connections

Oct 3, 2025    David Rosenthal

The Old Testament outlines Israel’s 7 feast days – divine appointments God is making with His people. The first 4 feasts, which occur in the Spring – and have already been fulfilled – pointed toward the first coming of the Lord Jesus Christ.

The 3 Fall feasts, however, have yet to be fulfilled as they serve as a foreshadowing of prophetic events from Calvary to the return of Jesus.

The first of the Fall feasts is Trumpets, which looks ahead to the Rapture of the Church and the coronation of Christ as King.

The second Fall feast is the Day of Atonement – known in Hebrew as Yom Kippur. This most solemn of all Israel’s feasts look ahead to the future day when a remnant of Israel will gaze upon the One who atoned for them so long ago – leading them to at last repent in their Savior.

The third Fall feast, Tabernacles, is the most joyous of the feasts, and represents that glorious time when Jesus will gather His people and tabernacle (dwell) with them on redeemed and restored Planet Earth.
